Group 3 CERT Training - CERT Portion

Group 3 Emergency Services is planning a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) course for Saturday, Sunday, and the following Saturday (4-5 May & 11 May 2024) at the 45th Composite Squadron Building, March ARB (KRIV). All Seniors and Cadets are welcome to attend.

[FEMA]: The CERT program offers a consistent, nationwide approach to volunteer training and organization that professional responders can rely on during disaster situations, allowing them to focus on more complex tasks.

4-5 May will be the required CERT Training. 11 May will be the first aid portion of the CERT training. Those with a current first aid card can waive out of the 11 May training. If you would only like an American Red Cross (ARC) First Aid/CPR/AED Card and not CERT, that can be accommodated, space dependent on 11 May. The cost of a certification card (~$30) is directly reimbursed to the instructor. The 11 May training meets the requirements for Basic First Aid Training for the GTM 3 or FLM SQTR. The course will be capped at 40 participants for each portion.

A light breakfast, snacks, lunch, and beverages will be provided. The cost will be $15/person per day, cash only. Bring exact change if able. If cost is an issue, please reach out to 1st Lt Kevin Shen.

Base access is required! Please contact 1st Lt Kevin Shen if you do not possess a CAC or CAPID so we can submit a base access request. A CAPID cannot be used to escort others on! All persons must possess a valid CAPID, be escorted by someone with a CAC, or have a valid visit request.
